9jaflave Soliloquy - Unwrap Your Gift Box

Everyone loves presents. Everyone loves little tiny gift boxes. Sometimes you even loose your patience trying to guess what is inside the gift box. You are so curious and eager to find out what your loved ones got you this time.

Some of us who hate surprises quickly tear those boxes apart, while others keep the guessing game on till they satisfy their curiosity. Every gift box contains something unique, special and priceless. Each box carries a message, an emotion and a story. It is simply a gift from one heart to another.

Our lives are like those gift boxes waiting to be unwrapped. Our lives may sometimes look beautiful on the outside, but until you unwrap your gift box, you may never know how much more you can do and become.

Unwrap your gift box and find your story. Unwrap your gift box and impact your generation. Unwrap your gift box and find your true self. Unwrap your gift box and find your place. Unwrap your gift box and discover who you truly are.

9jaflave Soliloquy - Do It Afraid

Feel the fear and do it afraid.
Leave your comfort zone and do it afraid.
Ignore the fear and do it afraid.
Shut out the voices and do it afraid.
Shatter those walls of limitations and do it afraid.
Challenge those fears and do it afraid.
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
Just Do It Afraid.

9jaflave Soliloquy -The Power Of Compassion (3)

Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven who rescued a little boy who had been ostracised by his community, recreated the image of her, encouraging him to drink from a bottle of water. It's been a year and the boy named 'Hope' has started school.

What is your take on the Image? Capture it in your own words.

"We may be many worlds apart, but the power of compassion can easily flow from one heart to another."

"We may be of a different colour and race, yet the power of compassion can create bonds that will last forever."

"We may be lost and in search of answers, but the power of compassion can create pathways to destiny."

5 Poems To Inspire You In 2017

Inspiration can come through the written word and words really do have a way of lighting up our souls. It maybe that fear has gripped your soul and you simply don't believe in yourself and your abilities anymore, let Marianne Williamson inspire you with her powerful words.

Let Maya Angelou's words spark a fire in your soul as you soak up some powerful life lessons from Rudyard Kipling's 'If". Below are 5 poems to inspire you this year and I hope you are inspired to do and become.

                                   (1)
Our Deepest Fear By Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Still I Rise By Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.
